Analytics

Page views are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not fingerprint visitors. It reports totals: which pages were viewed, roughly where in the world the visit came from, and which site linked here. It does not build a profile of you, follow you to other sites, or record anything that identifies you personally. There is nothing here to opt out of, which is why you were not asked to dismiss a cookie banner.

Booking

Reservations do not happen on this site. The booking link goes to our Airbnb listing, and everything from that point on, including your name, dates, payment, and messages, is held by Airbnb under their privacy policy, not ours. We see what any host sees in the Airbnb app.

The occasional letter

If you type your email into the footer, it goes to Buttondown, the service that sends the letter, and it is used for that and nothing else. We do not sell it, rent it, or hand it to anyone. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes the address.

Things this site does not do

• No advertising and no ad networks.
• No social media tracking pixels.
• No cookies set by us.
• No selling or sharing of personal information. Ever.
• No accounts, logins, or user profiles.

The site does carry a Pinterest verification tag, which proves we own this domain so pins made from it are attributed correctly. It is a static line of markup and it does not track anyone.

Children

This site is meant for adults planning a stay, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Asking us about your data

Given the above there is usually nothing of yours for us to hold. If you subscribed to the letter and want the address removed, use the unsubscribe link or write to us and we will do it. Questions about a reservation are best raised through the Airbnb listing, since that is where the reservation lives.

Changes
